The purpose of this webinar series is to build local capacities in Kyrgyzstan to Climate Change. This will be achieved through:
- Awareness raising of Climate Change through tangible examples, covering basic definitions, the importance of CC and how to interpret/evaluate the change on the climate;
- Introducing climate screening tools and how participants can use them and identify risks;
- Use of Earth OBservation based products covering local needs to build the resilience of pasturelands in Kyrgyzstan
- Hands-on session using EO4SD CR Platform

This webinar series is being organized by the Earth Observation for Sustainable Development (EO4SD) climate resilience (CR) cluster with the support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), GIZ, APIU and ARIS, implementers of the Livestock and Market Development Programme II (LMDP2) and Agency of land resources under the Ministry of Agriculture. LMDP2 aims to reduce poverty and enhance economic growth in pasture communities from Kyrgyzstan by improving livestock productivity and climate resilience – and thereby promoting equitable returns to livestock farmers.
EO4SD is an initiative of the European Space Agency that aims to increase the uptake of Earth Observation-based information at International Financial Institutions and their client states. The EO4SD CR Cluster aims to help development partners upgrade their tools and skills in order to accomplish their climate resilience objectives. The climate cluster has supported over the last two years IFAD’s portfolio and partners in Central Asia and Africa.

II (LMDP2) и Агентство земельных ресурсов при Министерстве сельского хозяйства. LMDP2, которая направлена на сокращение бедности и ускорение экономического роста в пастбищных сообществах Кыргызстана за счет повышения продуктивности животноводства и устойчивости к изменению климата - и тем самым обеспечения справедливой прибыли для животноводов.
EO4SD - это инициатива Европейского космического агентства, направленная на увеличение использования информации, основанной на наблюдении за Землей, международными финансовыми учреждениями и государствами-клиентами. Кластер EO4SD CR призван помочь партнерам по развитию обновить свои инструменты и навыки для достижения целей устойчивости к изменению климата. Климатический кластер в течение последних двух лет поддерживал портфель IFAD и партнеров в Центральной Азии и Африке.
